Book Meme

Every now and then, we must fall prey to these viral internet concoctions.

Stolen from Tribe.

Book Meme: 123.5 is supposed to work as follows:

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the "coolest" book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.

And my sentence is from THE EMPTY BEACH by Peter Corris.

"I thought very seriously about the packet of cigarettes on the table next to the flagon, but decided on more wine instead."

The Crowd by Gustave Le Bon - "The parliamentary assemblies of the most widely different countries, of Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, France and America present great analogies in their debates and votes, and leave the respective governments face to face with identical difficulties." Whew, that was long.
